Privacy Policy

By creating a FundLocalBiz  Crowdfunding site, You the Campaign Creator agree with all the terms in our Terms Of Agreement and this here Privacy Policy.

At FLB we take Your personal privacy seriously.  Except as otherwise stated in the Privacy Policy we do not disclose, sell  or rent any personally identifiable information provided to us by our users.  We use appropriate procedures and security measures to help protect the users' personally identifiable information we transmit or store.  This Privacy Policy is part of and incorporated into the Company's Terms of Use. Please read our Terms of Use Agreement for our complete terms, conditions, and legal provisions.

Definitions

This privacy policy may be referred to herein as the Privacy Policy, or simply the "Policy".  FundLocalBiz  may be referred to herein as "FLB", "the Company", the "Site", "US", OR "WE".  The Company's crowdfunding services is referred to as the "Services".  "Users" are anyone that uses our web site. "Campaign Creators" are people or organizations that use our crowdfunding plate form to raise money. A Campaign Contributor creates a FLB crowdfunding site for the purpose of raising money to fund a project or idea herein called a "Campaign".  "Campaign Contributors" and "Campaign Supporters" are the same--people and / or organizations that make financial donations to Campaigns. "User Content" is defined as any information, including but not limited to, text, ideas, images, video, audio, software, data, scripts, posting, provided by the User of our services or any services associated with usage of the site, such as social media sites. The above aforementioned defined terms may be written in uppercase, lowercase, or a combination.

Updates.

Because of the rapidly evolving nature of  internet technologies, and in our attempts to make our user experience better, and for business reasons, FLB may periodically make changes to the Privacy Policy, Content, or Services at any time. The latest Privacy Policy will be posted here and You agree that You should always review it prior to using our Service. If you don’t agree with our current Privacy Policy, or future modification is unacceptable to You, You shall cease using our services immediately.  If you do not cease using the Services, You will be conclusively deemed to have accepted the change(s).

Information Collection and Use

You can generally visit our website freely without revealing any personal information.  You may also make contribution to Campaign without registering.   However, to use our crowdfunding services as a Campaign Creator  you must create an account which requires personally identifiable information, such as Your email address, gender, age, occupation, photos, texts, ideas, phone number, postal address, country, state / province and payment information.  We may also collect additional personally identifiable information from Campaign Creator, that you voluntarily include to set up your crowdfunding site, submit a post, and when You communicate to us for customer support or other concerns.  FLB Campaign Creators never receive donor  or other users' password or credit card information.

We may provide information and data generated by cookies, web logs, aggregate analysis information to the affiliates, vendors and service agencies that we may use to assist us in providing product and / or services to enhance your customer experience.   Our site use cookies to enhance and personalize the Users' overall experience when using our site.  A cookie is a small text file that contains analytical data. We will not sell Your personally identifiable information to any company or organization.  We may, however, transfer Your Personally identifiable information to a successor entity upon a merger, consolidation, or other form of corporate alliance in which FLB participates in.

The credit card information from a User that choose to make a financial donation to a FLB Campaign will only be used for this transaction on a secure online payment platform. FLB does not retain credit card information.

Electronic Communication 

The company will communicate with you the user via electronically, either by posting notice on the Web site or sending electronic mail (email).  By using our Services You agree that any agreements, notices, disclosures,  receipts, conformations,  or other communications provided to you by the Company electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications would satisfy if they were in writing.

We may send you information and updates pertaining to your account, in addition to periodic Company news, updates and / or related product or services.  We will keep this a minimum. However, you may opt-out at any time by unsubscribing.  We may also retain the content of your email messages used to correspond with us.

Third-Party Agents

The Company uses other third parties (such as PayPal) to provide payment services on our site. For instance, when you sign up for PayPal, we will share your name, transaction ID (amount, date), and email address as necessary for the third party to provide that service. We may provide information and data generated by cookies, web logs, aggregate analysis information to the affiliates, vendors and service agencies that we may use to assist us in providing product and / or services to enhance your customer experience.   These third parties are prohibited by law and / or by contract from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

The company site or services may provide links to third-party applications, services, or web sites, for your convenience and resource. These links operated according to their own terms of use and privacy policies. The Company does not control those third party sites. You acknowledge and agree that the Company does not endorse or make any representations about third-party sites and therefore is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, product or service on or available from such third-party sites. The personal data you choose to provide to or that is collected by these sites is not covered by the Company's Privacy Statement. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you interact with before allowing the collection and use of your personal information.

Security

FLB may employ methodologies and technological security, such as encryption, back up data, password protection, and other reasonable measures to help protect your personally identifiable information from unauthorized access.  The Company relies on third-party secure servers, such as PayPal when certain types of sensitive data and information is transferred and received, such as financial and personally identifiable information.  Even though we take every known precaution to secure your data, no data transmission over the public internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. However, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and account information at all times.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold the Company, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, partners, and employees, harmless from any claim, demand, liability, expense, or loss, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of, or in any way connected with your use of or access to the Site, our Privacy Policy and or your violation of our TOU agreement.

Disputes and Arbitration

All disputes arising out of this Policy and our  Terms Of Use agreement or use of the Company's Web Site shall be exclusively resolved under confidential binding arbitration held in the state or federal courts located in Maine, United States.
